This is Stamey's (of the dB’s) first full-length release since his 2005 collaboration with Yo La Tengo and features intimate numbers balanced by more upbeat tunes with the albums musical and thematic centrepiece, the seven-minute 'Lovesick Blues'. The resulting album is a landmark for Stamey, unfiltered emotional honesty with the effortless melodic craft that's always been a hallmark of his work.
